The first stage of granting appointments to 16,800 graduates will take place at Temple Trees today (July 30th) where 3,800 Graduate will receive their appointments from Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe. The awarding of appointments would be completed by August 2.
The ceremony grant the government appointments to the graduates would be held at 12 noon at Temple Trees today.
During the ceremony, All the graduates from the Colombo and Gampaha Districts would receive their government appointments froth Mg Prime Minister, including 200 selected graduates from the Kalutara District, according to the Prime Minister’s Office sources. During the ceremony 1,840 graduates will receive their government employment appointments from the Prime Minister while 1760 graduates from the Gampaha District will also get their appointments.
In addition, 40 graduates from each of the 22 other districts totaling 880, will also receive their appointment letters from the Prime Minister. Meanwhile the Prime Ministers has instructed from all districts, except the Colombo and Gampaha Districts to award the appointment letters to the rest of the graduates during the period from July 31 to August 2. These letters of appointment are granted to the graduates by the Minister of National Policies, Economic Affairs, Resettlement & Rehabilitation, Northern Province Development and Youth Affairs which is under the purview of the Prime Minister.
