RECRUITMENT OF PROJECT STAFF

International Development Agency of the World Bank has agreed for a Country Partnership Strategy (CPS) in two areas namely, ‘Supporting structural shifts in the economy’ and improved living standards and social inclusion’. In view of achieving the above strategic objectives, Component 1 of the project seeks to promote commercial and export oriented agriculture:attract and leverage investments from farmer producer organizations and agribusiness for high value agriculture production and value addition: and provide the enabling environment. incentives and access to finance for such investments through matching grants. technical assistants support, linkages to the commercial banking sector. and a Partial Credit Guarantee (PCG) facility . The project implementation per. is 5 years .

Applications are invited from experienced and qualified citizens of Sri Lanka to fill the following positions in the Agriculture Sector Modernization Project under the Ministry of Primary Industries.

Vacancy category 01

  • Financial Manager (PS3)
  • Senior Matching Grant Manager (PS3)
  • Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist (PS3)
  • Internal Auditor (PS3)

Required Qualifications and experience 

 1. A successfully completed Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field, which is recognized by the             University Grants Commission
Or
A qualification recognized by the University Grants Commission as an equivalent qualification to the degree in the relevant filed
Or
A professional qualification successfully completed from a recognized professional Institute in the relevant field
With
At least 10 years of post qualifying experience at Managerial Level out of which 05 years should be Senior Managerial Level,
Or

2. A Bachelor’s Degree which is recognized by the University Grants Commission. And A Postgraduate Degree or full membership of a recognized professional institution in the relevant field.
With At least 08 years post qualifying experience in Managerial Level. Or 3. Class I officer of a Government All Island Services or a similar status in the relevant held
With At least 07 years experience in the class I post.

Vacancy category 02

Statistician (PS4) 

Required Qualifications and experience 

1. A Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field which is recognized by the University Grants Commission or having passed the intermediate examination of a recognized professional Institute in the relevant field.
And At least 07 years post qualifying experience in the relevant field. Or 2. An officer of the Government All Island Services Class III/II or above or similar status in the relevant field.
With At least 07 years experience in Class II/111 post

Project Administrative Secretary (PS 6)

Required Qualifications and experience 

 1. Having passed the G.C.E (0/L) examination in six (6) subjects with three (3) credit passes including English and Sinhala / Tamil language.

With

A Secretarial course from a recognized Institution or pursuing examinations leading to Chartered Secretary.
With

At least a minimum of 04 years experience in the relevant field.

Or

2. A Chartered Secretary with 03 years experience in the relevant field.

Method of Selection: Shortlisted applicants based on qualifications and experience will be called for an interview.

Salary : Salary is based cn the Management Services Circular No.01/2016 of 24.03.2016.

General Conditions:

(a) Age Limit Should be below 65 years.

(b) Conditions for engaging Employment: Officers belonging to All Island Services will be recruit. on transfer basis and persons outside the Government service will be recruited on contract basis. Appointment will be initially for one year period on contract basis and extension of service will be based on the period of the project and successful performance of the employee.
